What cake shall it be?

“Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.”
― Dr. Seuss

So I have an awesome, wonderful, amazing family. If you don't know them, you should get to know them. One of the greatest things about my family is the support they give me for my baking.

Example: It's Christmas 2010. A beautifully wrapped present (clearly a book) is given to me by my brother (funded by my dad).

A COOKBAKEBOOK!

How observant of him, how kind, how caring. And then I learn the real reason:

"Philli, here is a book for you, so you can bake for me".

Clever one that brother of mine.

But back to the family, they have ever so kindly sponsored a Cake Decorating Course for me. Hooray!

Sounds a bit strange I know. But I am going to learn to make this:

And possibly this:

And who knows! Maybe even this:

Yes it's a camera. Yes its Red Velvet Cake. Yes it looks good.

So what is it going to involve you ask? A LOT of practice and therefore a lot of fattening up of the people who are constantly around me!

I am excited!

Philli
